Analysis of Sonatina Saxophone Solo

When I first saw this piece I didn't think that it would be that hard to play. When I looked a little closer I saw that there would be a number of rhythms that I would have problems with. For example line 3. I have trouble playing rhythms with lots of eighth rests and that's exactly what this piece has. There are also a lot of notes on the off beats which confuses me. The dynamics in the song are forte(loud playing), and piano(soft playing). The first 2 lines are forte, I'm guessing this is so the song begins with a bang. Then at bar 11 the dynamics are piano. This is where there is a large number of eighth notes. There are also a lot of high notes in the song. I know I will have problems with the high notes, so I am going to really have to practice that. I also think I will try using a metronome to help me with the complected rhythms. After taking a second look at this piece, I think it is going to be quite a challenge.
